What calls to you in the darkness? What spurs your soul onward into the depths? Your blood has transformed into the form of a blood mushroom. Discover what you have lost…both to the world and to yourself.
Will you always follow your ambitions?
The Team
Mush Go Deeper was developed by Studio BeepBoop. We are team of first year Game Design & Development students at the IIE Vega School, based in La Lucia, Durban. We are actively working on innovating new exciting and meaningful ways to play.
Mush Go Deeper is an early prototype of a much larger scale project, developed for the annual Ludum Dare Game Jam, based upon the theme of depths. As the project is still in the Research & Development stage, there is an extremely high possibility that it is riddled with unsolved bugs, which will be rectified in the final version.

Awesome game.
Love the 100% intentional wall jumping/climbing/launching/I can Fly!! mechanics.
I don’t know what Mush Go Deeper is, and I’m not entirely sure I should know.
You start the game, and within minutes, you're spiraling into something — a tunnel, a thought, a memory, who knows. There’s no tutorial, no “objective complete,” no hand-holding. Just vibes. Strange, pulsing, brain-tickling vibes.
The first thing that hits you is the aesthetic. It’s low-res, janky in a deliberate way, like it was coded in a fever dream by someone who hasn’t slept in days. The colors are off, the shapes are weird, and the music (if you can call it that) sounds like lo-fi beats for dissolving into the void.
Gameplay? You move. You go deeper. Mush-ier. Gravity is optional. Logic is optional. Sanity is definitely optional. You might think you're making progress, but progress in this game feels like sinking in molasses while someone whispers cryptic messages in your ear.
but.........
For first-year students with minimal experience, this is an impressive prototype. Keep it up!
